Info for Members
Our program relies on our wonderful graduate and undergraduate mentors who provide mentorship to our frosh and assist in their personal growth and development. Each year we begin accepting applications for mentors at the beginning of October with applications due at the end of October. Please note mentors for the 2019-20 cohort have already been selected. Check our website as October 2020 approaches for more information on applying.
It is essential that our graduate and undergraduate mentors are committed to and engaged in the program. Some of the responsibilities include:
- Holding weekly sessions with mentees
- Creating a curriculum and activities for their sessions with mentees
- Hosting one of our EHJS Grad Mentor Power Hours (special workshops and activities curated by graduate students based on their unique interests and areas of expertise)
- Attending at least one of our Network & Chill Series which is dedicated to creating structured and sustained spaces for black graduate and undergraduate students to engage in monthly mixers, roundtables, and activities
