Welcome!

It brings us great pleasure to introduce ourselves as your 2022-2023 Black Recruitment and Orientation Committee (BROC) coordinators!!! We are a team of students who work with the Black Community Services Center to welcome the new class of Black students. We are incredibly busy organizing a variety of events that will help you get to know your fellow classmates, learn more about Stanford, and gain valuable insight from current students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Congratulations, and welcome to Stanford! You are beginning an exciting journey, and we’re here to ensure a memorable transition for you.

Mikayla Tillery (She/Her)

Why I joined BROC: I wanted to be a BROC coordinator because I had such an amazing Black support system during my transition to Stanford! I hope to pay that forward by helping actualize fun, informative, and engaging events to support the next class of frosh through the transition

Keithan Ducre (He/Him)

Class Year: 2025

Organizations: Hume Center

Why I joined BROC: I am so enthused to join the BROC team for the year! The BROC staff during my matriculation to Stanford played an integral role in creating excitement and a community for my peers and me to engage in. Taking on that role for the next group of students means the world.

Ruby Onsongo (She/Her)
