Born and raised in Oakland California, Ihsan (she/her) is an emerging professional in student affairs with specific areas of expertise in culturally inclusive program management and curriculum development that engages students while respecting and maintaining their dignity and autonomy. As the Assistant Director of the Center for Student Leadership, Equity, Excellence at Mills College, Ihsan focused on bridging the gap between the Oakland community and the campus. With programs ranging from intimate workshops around intersectionality to large-scale keynotes by Angela Davis and Sonya Renee Taylor, Ihsan is well versed in creating engagement opportunities that fit the needs of the community. Ihsan is excited to bring these skills to the BCSC Pipeline Manager role and support Black students at Stanford. In her free time, she loves to shop for plants and cook for friends and family. When she's not at work, she's usually at the farmers market or enjoying the sunshine with a good book in hand.
