 There are many ways to get to settle into Stanford. Our Black Recruitment & Outreach Committee participates in two key events in April and October for admitted and new Black students.

April: Admit Weekend

  • BROC organizes a formal program that introduces admitted students, along with their friends and families, to Black Stanford. You'll be able to tour our center, meet current students, and get a open and honest feel for if Stanford is the right place for you! 

September: New Student Orientation

  • New Student Orientation occurs right before school beings. BROC holds two events. 
    • The Black Community Welcome is our center's general welcome for Black community at Stanford. We introduce our professional staff members, reveal our theme for the year, and celebrate the start of new school year! Family and friends are welcome to attend. 
    • The Kickback is space for incoming students to meet other frosh keep the celebration going. BROC also invites 2-3 continuing students to sit on a student panel. The panel is a great opportunity for incoming students to ask frank questions on life at Stanford. This event is for incoming students only.
